Approach

We build models before we draw

Every project starts in the workshop. We make site models in birch ply and plaster at 1:200, then larger models of key rooms at 1:20, so that light, scale and material can be judged with the eye rather than on a screen.

We prefer timber where it makes sense, low-carbon concrete where it does not, and local stone when we can find it. Since 2020, every building we design has a full life-cycle carbon assessment from the first stage.

Clients tell us the process feels calm. That is deliberate. We work in clear stages, explain every decision and keep the same team on the project from start to finish.
