Questions
About fees and timelines
How is the construction cost calculated?
On the final contract sum for building works, excluding land, VAT, furniture and professional fees. We agree an estimated fee at the start and adjust only if the scope changes.
How long does a house take from first meeting to moving in?
Usually two to three years: around a year for design and permits, and twelve to eighteen months on site depending on size and season.
Do you work outside Denmark and Norway?
Yes. We have completed projects in Sweden and Finland, and take on selected work elsewhere in northern Europe with a local partner architect.
What does a new house cost to build?
In 2026 our private houses typically cost $4,500 to $7,000 per square metre to build in Denmark and Norway, depending on site, materials and finish.
Can we stop after a stage?
Yes. Each stage is a separate agreement, so you can pause after feasibility or permits without further commitment.
