Pictures of how it felt, not just how it looked

I photograph weddings, elopements and portraits with a quiet eye and a lot of patience. Mostly natural light. Often on film. Always honest.

Hello

I am Ines. I notice the small things.

I grew up in Porto with my grandfather's Leica and moved to Lisbon to study fine art. I have been photographing weddings for eleven years, around 22 a year, so each couple gets my full attention.

I will not ask you to pose for an hour. I will ask you to walk, talk, hold each other and forget I am there. The best pictures usually happen between the moments you planned.

I shoot digital and medium-format film side by side, and I deliver a gallery that looks like a book, not a camera roll.

The light in Lisbon does half the work. My job is to be standing in the right place.

We forgot she was there, and then the gallery arrived and we cried for an hour. She caught my father's face during our vows, a look I had never seen before. That one photograph was worth everything.
