About
Patient, quiet and usually slightly to the left
Photographer, former fine art student, occasional film developer in a very small bathroom.

My approach
Less directing, more noticing
My grandfather was a pharmacist who photographed every family lunch for forty years. Nobody looked at the camera. That box of prints taught me what matters: the in-between, the laughter just after the joke, a hand on a shoulder.
I work alone or with my second shooter Tomás, never with an entourage. I dress like a guest, move slowly and keep my camera low. Many of your guests will not realise I was there until they see themselves in the gallery.
When I am not at weddings, I photograph makers and places for magazines and teach a small film workshop every spring in Alentejo.

Kind words
From couples and editors
“Ines moved through our day like a friend who happened to have a camera. Our families still talk about how relaxed she made everyone.”
“She flew to Sicily with two film cameras and came back with the most beautiful pictures we have ever owned.”
“Ines understands light and people equally well. She is the first photographer I call for a portrait story.”
Let us have a coffee
In Bairro Alto or over video. Either way, I would love to hear about your plans.
